It’s time for my 2023 holiday cookie box!! I think this is year four or five of making these boxes and I don’t have any plans to slow down or stop doing them.
Baking, putting together, and sharing these boxes is hands-down my favourite thing to do all year. Most of my cookie boxes stay local and I get to hand deliver them, which I love because there is nothing like seeing people’s faces light up when you surprise them with a fun box of cookies. This year I actually got to personally deliver all but one of the boxes as my out of town friends were all in town at one point this holiday season.
The last box was sent all the way to the East coast and according to USPS tracking it made it, so here’s hoping it really did!
This year, I had to start my cookie box planning wayyyyy in advance. I had to plan what I was making and bake it all by November 12th because I had surgery on November 17th and knew I wouldn’t be able to get any baking done after that as I have/had a bunch of restrictions during recovery.
I sent a few friends and family and list of cookies to choose from and the most popular responses ended up in this box (plus a couple of extras 😉 )

Clearly I went for a theme of either brown butter, peppermint, or ginger/gingerbread. My personal favourites are the ginger cookies, I just cannot get enough of them!
