Let's Bake Together

Henry’s Tavern

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to go and eat dinner at Henry’s Tavern. My friend’s birthday is this week, so we had a slightly early birthday celebration for her while eating and drinking some really tasty things.

Henry’s is located in Portland, on NW 12th and Burnside. It’s a huge, beautiful brick building, you really can’t miss it. And nor do you want to. If beer is your thing, this is the place for you; they have 120 beers on tap, as well as wine and other cocktails. Go. Now.

My friend went for the beer and I went for the cocktails. They were both delicious and I want to recreate this pomegranate hard lemonade. SO GOOD.

If there are two thing Henry’s is known for it would definitely be their beer cheese soup and mac & cheese. I was actually talking to a coworker before I left work on Friday and she was raving about both of them, so naturally that’s what we ordered.

We also ordered gorgonzola waffle fries

A really tasty protein bowl topped with salmon

And doughnut holes that came with a seriously delicious raspberry dipping sauce.

The whole night was great. The place was decorated for Christmas, improving upon an already beautiful building, the people were friendly and even split up our dishes so we could both eat the same thing, but not have to eat out of the same plate/bowl. They treat you well there.

Do yourselves a favor, grab some friends and head to Henry’s, you won’t be disappointed.

I wasn’t compensated by Henry’s for this post, but I did receive a gift card to cover the cost of my dinner. All thoughts/opinions are my own.
