I don’t even have words for how much I enjoyed Feast this year. Getting to experience it as a blogger was so incredible and I’m so thankful for the opportunity the folks at Feast gave me. Once again, they put on a fantastic event and I’m so glad I got to attend and experience the magic!
Feast Portland 2017 featured 134 chefs, 31 wineries, 15 breweries, 11 artisans, and 12 distilleries. There were 17,948 total attendees at Feast Portland 2017. Crazy! The net proceeds from this event go to Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon, which is awesome.
I’m going to bombard you with pictures in this post and the others to follow because I basically ate, drank and photographed my way through this event. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have a collection of wristbands from the various events I went to. Safe to say, I had a great time 😉
Of the 5 main events, I went to 3: Night Market, Grand Tasting, and Brunch Village. I also went to a couple of drink tank events (hiiiii, rosé!), took advantage of the hospitality suite, and met my favourite food blogger, Joy the Baker, at her book signing event (she was part of a Feast event on Sunday).
There were also some media after-parties, but I wasn’t able to go to those as my knee couldn’t take anymore walking/standing. Maybe next year!
Feast started on Thursday, the 14th. I didn’t go to any events that day, but I did head down to the hospitality suite and got my blogger pass and a fun bag full of goodies 🙂 Once I made it through the work week, my first Feast event was the Night Market.
I went to the Night Market last year and had such a great time. This year, I dragged my best friend with me so she could act as my instagram husband, and we feasted!
Once again, the Night Market was a Latin theme. There was lots of food and drink to choose from, and a fun Photo Booth. Because what event is complete without some silly pictures?
The food was gooooood. I think my favourite might have been the enchilada dog from Elias Cairo and Olympia Provisions. It was literally everything you could possibly want out of an enchilada-style hot dog and you cannot go wrong with anything from Olympia Provisions. They know their meat. 
Also on the menu for the night was this smoked gouda fundido with beef chorizo from Billy Shumaker at Taqueria Nueve

Crispy confit pork belly with watermelon and honey made by Benjamin Gonzalez at Nuestra Cocina
“Pot” Pig Roast from the always fabulous Vitaly Paley at Imperial

Tillamook ice cream inside a churro bowl from Tillamook and 180 (excuse the picture, we were under a purple light)
And much, much more that may have made its way into my mouth before I could take a picture. Sometimes, you just gotta eat! There was wine, sangria, tequila, drinks with Oregon berries. It was an incredible night right next to the Tillikum bridge here in Portland.
It was such a fun night filled with delicious food and drinks, and it was the perfect kick off to my Feast weekend. Stay tuned for another post with the details from Grand Tasting and Brunch Village!
